About the project
This Internet resource was designed to be used as a virtual guide that will allow you to discover without leaving home the incredibly attractive history and culture of the westernmost region of Russia, Kaliningrad.
You must have heard about the mysterious castles that used to conduct knight tournaments, read about the fossilised resin from trees that turned into amber, and the narrow strip of land connecting the fresh lagoon and salt sea, the Curonian Spit. Now there is a chance for you to see that all!
Modern technologies made it possible to shoot the main natural, historical and cultural sights from a bird's eye view. You can rotate 360 degrees as well as look at objects from within and find them the way they were at the time of shooting.
All the attractions are distributed along the routes, each of which is indicated by colour. This colour will help you navigate the map and locate objects in reality. Interesting and cognitive will be listening to historical information, which is available in five languages. If you need to quickly find an object of interest, you can use the search function. We will also be grateful for your comments in the feedback form.
We hope that what you have seen and heard will not leave you indifferent and will provide an incentive for a real visit to our region, in search of vivid impressions and new friends!
